Warrant of Fitness

Come see us for your WoF for any make or model Mazda If your vehicle was registered before January 1st, 2000, a Warrant of Fitness, or WoF, is required every six months. For cars younger than that, a WoF is an annual necessity. If your car is new, then you don’t need a WoF until its third birthday. A Warrant of Fitness is basically an overall check-up of your car. In order to make sure it’s road worthy, a certified mechanic will go through a comprehensive checklist of things that need to be working to a satisfactory legal standard. All Rangiora Mazda technicians are fully qualified Warrant of Fitness inspectors. They complete regular updates and liaise with New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) on all WOF requirements. A Warrant of Fitness is not only a check-up for your car, but a way to keep yourself and others safe on the road.

Suspension, Shocks & Steering

Rangiora Mazda offer a complete range of suspension, shock absorber and steering services. A car’s suspension is essential for a smooth ride. Without it, every little bump in the road would be felt, not only by you, but the rest of your vehicle’s components, causing more and more damage with each journey. Shock absorbers are a key part of the suspension system. Basically giant springs that connect the suspension to the car’s chaise, allowing you to roll over a bump without cracking your skull on the roof. It is the shock absorbers that take the impact instead of the entire car. If your car is pulling to one side when you drive, or you hear noises when turning corners, it might be a steering issue, and a wheel alignment is necessary. If your suspension, shock absorbers or steering is in need of repair, give us a call today and book in

Radiator Repairs & Flush

If your radiator stops working, then so does your car. Your car’s radiator has one job- to cool the engine down. An engine can run at temperatures exceeding two and a half thousand degrees, and at this heat the metal can literally melt and weld itself together. If this happens, your car is going nowhere, and you’re in for a hefty repair bill. A car’s radiator works by cooling a mixture of anti-freeze and water that runs through the engine. Over time this concoction can become a sludge, bogged down by particulates that get into the engine such as little stones or bugs. A radiator flush helps clean out the dirt and grime, allowing the radiator to do its job and stop your engine from overheating. The metal of the radiator itself comes under stress from constant heating and cooling, and over time this causes damage. A check-up is the

Oil Change

An oil change is an essential part of owning a vehicle An oil change is a very important part of vehicle maintenance, and will keep your car running smoother and longer, reducing the risk of other problems in the engine. Oil is the lifeblood of your vehicle, and by regularly changing it and the oil filter, you can easily extend the life and performance of your car. The oil in your engine acts as a lubricant, allowing those hot metal parts to rub against each other without melting. Over time dirt and grime build up in the oil, making it less effective at its job. The less effective it is, the more your engine heats up, and the more dangerous it becomes. It’s recommended to book in for an oil change every 6 months or so, to avoid more serious repair bills down the line. Our mechanics can help with

Cambelt / Timing Belt

For all Cambelt or timing belt repairs, call Rangiora Mazda today The cambelt is a drive belt that keeps the crackshaft in sync with the camshaft (hence the name cambelt). It’s also known as a timing belt because its job is to ensure the proper timing of the movement of the pistons. A cambelt should be changed every 100,000Kms or so (or every five years- whichever comes first), but due to the costly nature of the job, many motorists leave it until it’s too late. This only makes things worse, and is more expensive in the long run. Our Mazda factory-trained Service Technicians are the leading experts in servicing your vehicle, and are equipped with the Mazda Modular Diagnostic System (M-MDS). Our Service Technicians only use Genuine Mazda Parts, which are professionally engineered, manufactured and tested to meet Mazda’s demanding high standards. All Genuine Mazda Parts have a 12 month
